Can't wait to see when you do open!

Please, please, please whatever you do...DON'T price and sell by the half-yard. OF course if you want to sell in half-yard increments, by all means do so...but that is my LEAST favorite tactic to put in big bold letters "$4.99!!!" and then in teeny-tiny print "per half yard".
I agree 100%
I also agree. Yes, I also hate this, it seems deceiving. List prices per yard and sell even down to the 1/4 yard but price listed per yard.
|
My thoughts are that fabric should be sold by the yard, most of us buy at least 3 yds. if we like it or have a quilt in mind. Fat quarters are also nice, especialy for small quilts.

Have all the options available to customers.

I don't usually have any problems with quanity. I usually don't buy precut packages like "cakes" & "buns" and such.
The MOST important thing to me is that I can shop by designer, manufacturer or collection. By color is iffy since not everyone has the same idea of "yellow". Make it as super, super easy as possible for your customer to find what she is looking for. I don't want to have to look through 23 pages of 12 items each just hoping I'll come across what I'm looking for. Most of the time I just leave those sites behind and move on. Good Luck. I wish you all the best and will definitely stop by. |
The more options the better in mho
