On Monday the 5th I mailed a manilla envelope to BKinCO containing the following:
2 ziplock bags, each containing 20 2 1/2" strips, and a slip
of paper with a return address label.
1 self addressed/stamped manilla envelope.

Today, the 9th, I opened my mailbox to find one ziplock baggie with fabric strips just sitting there! No envelope.. nothing else. BKinCO is out of town, so don't know yet if she received my other items. Good thing I had that return address label inside the baggie :thumbup: Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to include your return address INSIDE your package as well as on the outside.

I got a package today and inside it had my addy instead of the return address. I wondered why she did that now I know. Thanks for the info. I will have to remember to do that from now on.

My Mom always, always, always did that when she mailed a package. So, do you THINK I might have learned that from her?? :oops:

Perfect timing for me as I am packing up a lot of packages to go in the mail again for Monday morning.

I sent six packages out this last week and have not heard back from anyone of them that they received there packages. Hopefully they all got to where they needed to go?

I know I will make this a practice from now on!

My DH used to work for the post office. And I worked briefly for Fed Ex. I put the TO" address as well as my return address inside packages.
Old moto for postal service - if it say's "fragle"......
it means .....
"Throw under handed" LOL

I always include both addresses. Learned that from deployment care packages.

I once received a shoe in a clear bag from the USPS. I'd purchased shoes online. The other shoe and the packaging were damaged so they sent the one good shoe to me. Goofy.

I'm glad that you got them back. At least you can remail them!

I was waiting for documents from a client. UPS delivered them- apologizing for the condition. The envelope was soggy and taped with clear packing tape all over it. They said normally they would be required to return it but they knew my business and figured I needed whatever was inside.

Yes, I needed them! I took them out of the package and laid the pages out to dry and then squished them to flatten them. Thank goodness the client didn't use a marker pen so the ink didn't run.

I am driving around with a sewing machine in my car- waiting to drop it off for servicing. I bought it on Ebay and didn't open the box for a few months because I was afraid to jump in (it's a ME). Anyway- it appears to be dropped. I'm hoping I can have it repaired. Did I ever waste $500. I emailed the turd who sold it to me and told him he did a lousy job of packing. Never got a response. I learned my lesson- I'm careful of what I buy online and check asap when it's delivered.

Well, I got one package of the strips back. BKinCO said she only rec'd the self addressed/stamp envelope. So here's hoping the other package of strips shows up in my mailbox tomorrow

Maybe this will help too. I only use the bubble wrap manila style envelopes to mail in. I also tape the end closed so as not to open.

The ones that have the fall-apart-in-your-hands junk make-you-sneeze liner are just awful to open, takes very little to rip them open, and I hate the mess when I open them. I always put fabric in a baggie, but now will also put my address or the receivers address because that way it will get to them.
