HOW COOL I want the trunk. You can have the fabric. :) Can't wait to see what your going to find. Maybe there will be a quilt in there that you can give to him to remember his mom by. Wouldn't that be so cool. ;) Good luck.

My Husband and I make many quilts for the Veterans in San Antonio at several of the hospitals and have had this happen to us....it is wonderful ! Especially when we received rescued fabric from Hurricane Ike from a Friend......WOW !! We always enjoy the "gold mine" and feel so blessed.
