My turn for "Name this pattern."
This popped up on my Pinterest home page but it's only a picture. I love how it shows off the large print fabrics. Any ideas?

it looks like kaffe fassett fabrics. the blocks are tilted twice. i could only find one tilt tuts
http://funthreads.blogspot.com/2012/...onky-tilt.html or http://debbykratovilquilts.blogspot....e-pattern.html there are probably many tuts for tilted blocks |
That's so pretty! I don't know the name of it but it's in the wonky family :)
They do look like Kaffe fabrics. |
Just a focus square set wonky. Bonnie Hunter has a pattern for doing a wonky setting with cutting the shapes. When I want a wonky setting, I just add 2-3 inch fabric strips all around my square and set a larger square ruler at a wonky angle and cut the new block. This block looks like it has 2 rows of wonky strips added.

Don't know, but do know that I love it and especially the black/white strips, really sets it off. I think I want to do this, I have Kaffe Fassett layer cake bundle, and I have some b/w fabrics.

Reminds me of take offs from twisted log cabins in Barbara T Kaempter book, "Log Cabin with a twist" or Fiskars titled squares foundations that I have from the dark ages in my quilt room. There was another one featured in a magazine that I did, a Colonial ? pattern with the After Hours Quilters in Corpus Christi guild, and gifted to another quilter in the group in an exchange. The difference is that I cut the wonky sides and sewed them on. I believe I have seen a similar pattern with several different designers.
So like so many of the quilt blocks, it has many different names...name it and claim it! |
It is simply set with angled strips. Make it your own as Ninasue suggests

Thanks all! I knew this was the right place to ask. This is going on my to-do list which seems to be growing more lengthy by the day.
