I hear he's part of the fabric mafia. I could really use a good toilet man if anyone can locate him.

It will be fun to see how this quilt will turn out. Interesting color choices with the two colors of red. I'm sure you'll create a thing of beauty with it. I certainly hope she is paying you well for this incredible labor of love. I would definitely tell her there will be no further changes though! I hope you walk us all through the "birth" of this beauty!!

No, as I posted earlier, she is NOT paying me well. I will walk you through my progress and try to keep you all up-to-date! Thank you for your interest. Marilyn |
I don't know, but I would sure enjoy following along to see how it turns out, and the steps you take to get there.

Patience is a virtue. Bless you.

It is great that you have the patience with your SIL because she doesn't have a clue since she isn't a quilter. As long as she likes it though then that is all that matters. I love all the fabrics. I'm anxious to see the progress on it.

Wow! I have to echo everyone else's thoughts in that you have a world of patience. I think there are way too many colors in it but perhaps it will turn out looking just wonderful and since you are in the McCall's competition I think you know what you are doing. Definitely keep us posted with pictures of progress. Loved the story though but I think too you should begin to encourage her to take up quilting herself.

You think YOU have=well=difficult relations?
You should have some of mine. German crossed with whatever, with minds that are set in concrete, change is a word no one knows, or admits exists, and if you don't agree with them, then it is just your own fault for not knowing "the" right way to do anything! I simply smile, let them believe what they want, and go on to do whatever I want and how I want to do it. Too bad if they don't know how to do things right. He he he..... |
So far as I'm able to keep up with the changes, this
sounds like a quilt that would win first prize at a quilt show. It would indeed be unique in that no one would have ever done one like it before. Please keep us all updated on this. We're all agog with curiosity now and want to know how it grows. |
 $5 million might just about make it worth my while ( I did say "might," didn't I?)! By the way, I really think Danmar would make it as a comedian or a very entertaining writer or columnist! I think after all those changes, my "Pauline" just might be missing a few hanks of hair or teeth, compliments of yours truly! (She's already missing part of her brain.) At the very least, I might be thinking of the most irritating perfectionist quilter I know to refer to her for the job! I'm afraid I'd be pulling out my own hair, working with her on this quilt. Good Luck, Danmar!
