This was a first today. I finished FMQ on a lap quilt last evening, so today I put on binding. Two woo hoos involved. First one ....from sashing leftovers, there measured enough to make binding. I only had to trim 1/4" in width off. When I got all the way round, the ends met EXACTLY!! So.....leaving the hand stitching on the back 'til after my surgery in 2 weeks. Not sure how long 'til I will be able to sit at my machine afterwards, so am collecting hand work.

Thanks everyone. Surgery is total hip replacement. Off work for at least 3 weeks, then, hopefully, back part time the next week.

God's blessings on your health and recovery - and your medical teams. I hope you have a marvelous rehab facility.
My dh has had his hip replacement 15 years now and has never had trouble with it except aches sometimes during weather changes. You might want to make some hot pads to gift staff with when you leave, especially if they watch you do handwork while you're there. |
Hugs, hope the surgery goes well!
