My yard sale deal of the day!

I got 18 quilting magazines for 10 cents apiece at a yard sale this morning!

Seven Fons & Porter, four Quick Quilts, and seven Quiltmaker

I was thrilled!

Good deal, I think I love my quilting magazines as much as I love all of my quilting stuff. They allow me to dream.

Congratulations! Quilting magazines are on my "list" of things I look for at garage sales, and I've given my daughter in another city the list too in case she runs across some. It's like Christmas!

luvstoquilt 06-30-2012 03:26 AM

Oh Happy dreaming! Nothing better than a nice cup of coffee and a quilting magazine!

judylg 06-30-2012 03:56 AM

Sometimes I get too many magazines, especially when I had a subscription. I went through all of them, the ones I cut out I got rid of and the untouched ones, went to the resale store. I figured someone would find a use for them. It was hard to get rid of them, though, I had to really ask myself if I would ever get any of it done? And the answer was no.
So now I enjoy my coffee in front of my computer, browsing.

BrendaK 06-30-2012 04:25 AM

Good haul. Now when can we expect to see some of the projects? Have fun. BrendaK

chaskaquilter 06-30-2012 08:39 AM

Well, just find a comfortable spot, have a cold drink or cup of coffee, put your feet up, read, look at pictures and enjoy.

WisWis 06-30-2012 09:20 AM

Great result-hope they give you even more inspiration.

justflyingin 06-30-2012 09:29 AM

That is fantastic. I found some for 75cents each at a thrift store just before I came back to Poland. Am so glad I decided to buy them. They are great for browsing and getting ideas. I've already used one of them since coming back three weeks ago.

You just got a deal. It's hard to find quilting magazines in the flea malls and yard sales. We keep them forever. I don't want to part with a one.

wishfulthinking 06-30-2012 04:26 PM

I tried to go through and get rid of some of mine and just couldn't do it. Even the issues I didn't particularly like. Kept thinking that one day my tastes could change I might wind up thinking they were the best issues ever.

debbieoh 06-30-2012 05:52 PM

I love the yard sale stories and the treasures that can be picked up. Happy paging, planning and quilting from them.
