Myn first chevron design need help
1 Attachment(s)
Its will be a mini quilt or wall hanging in solids as the giftee does not like flowery prints. I chose shades of blue/ turquoise/lime/grey but need to add width. I also have an ivory in it that I had planned to back with but am now thinking grey or royal blue. Should I add a hot pink or orange .

I like your color choices, and I think your friend will appreciate having no floral, if she doesn't like floral fabric. You could make it wider with borders or another block of the chevron.
I am not good at color selection, so I sure can't help you, but I think your first chevron design is really good. Dina |
I like it the way it is now.sometimes less is more.
or leave well enough alone. I love it the way it is now. |
Lynnie- Thank you. I think it is too long for a wall hanging and to narrow for a throw- ha..
Dina- If I add another whole V section it will be way too wide and a partial section will look silly- so I think I need about 4 inches on each side of one or more of the solid colors to make it 36 wide by 46 long. |
Adding one block ( half a zig) to each side will continue the chevron without making it look silly.
Or a border would finish it nicely. I would continue the pattern if it were mine |
Do a black flange w/ dark grey border.....keeping it in the modern vein.......

I wouldn't add a screaming pop of color to this quilt because it will stand out like a sore thumb with the other colors that are so soft, calm and soothing. You can add just one row of blocks on either side.
