Looking for the name of this Quilt Block / pattern this is a quilt that was made by my grandmother I would think in the thirties. I want to make a label to put on it. My granddaughter is named after my grandmother so would love to give it to her with the label. Thanks in advance for any help!

Don't know the name, but it's a fantastic quilt well worth keeping in the family.

It's a basket block, maybe cactus pot?

It's called Goose Tracks.

Looks like a variant of a cactus quilt block.

Don't know the name either, but love the colors!

I agree that it's a Cactus Basket. The quilter just left off the pedestal pieces and set them four together. It's a nice look. I believe I've seen that variant before but I don't remember if it had a different name. Nancy Cabot printed the pattern in 1933. If you scroll down the page to the picture of the sections before they're assembled, you can see it.

I have seen this pattern called Cactus Pot. When the pedestal is added, it becomes Cactus Basket.

So glad you have the quilt. May it live on and bring joy and warmth to your GD.
