I got 17 out of 20. Not too bad for me! :D
I only got 16  Some great quilts though!
I got the same score. 17 out of 20

I got 17....boy, that Improved 9-Patch really threw me.
I only got 16
I knew nothing about log cabin quilts!  |
I love these kind of games!
I got 17 out of twenty ... I missed the thousand pyramids/one patch quilt, I didn't think there were enough variations to make it thousand pyramids, but I guess I forgot that that doesn't mean that there are one thousand pieces of fabric (I HATE that trick ... grrr ... LOL the lone star ... I thought that the Lone Star went from side to side, top to top ... so I clicked "star medallion" WRONG! and the improved nine patch ... okay, so I did know it wasn't a cathedral window, but ... is "the improved nine patch" even an old enough design to be called a piecing design??? must be :? I missed it ... That was fun, Miss Butterflywing .... thank you! <wave> |
Isn't this the same as the other quiz? It has the same quilts.
this is blocks alone. what was your score?
Somehow when I click on the link, I see the entire quilts and the same questions as last time. : (
Okay, I went and found the quiz on the website at this URL: http://quilting.about.com/library/bl...block_quiz.htm
I didn't know most of the blocks, so I only got 14. I'll learn. I got the Monkey Wrench one wrong because I thought it and Churn Dash were supposed to be the same block. Since it gave me a choice of either/or but not both, I picked the totally different choice. Oh well. |
For someone that hasn't made many quilts and doesn't buy pattern books, that was a learning experience. Thanks for sharing.
I got 19 out of 30 of the quilt blocks ... not too bad, considering most of the blocks they were showing seemed to be ones with numerous names, or ones I would hardly glance at.
You know that one they called "Handy Andy"? I am going to be making that block here in a bit, and I found it in a little perpetual calendar ... Nancy J. Martin I will describe the block, because it most certainly does NOT look like the block they showed - - in each corner of the block, there are four HST, facing four different directions in each corner, but all four facing the same way in the separate corners. The four corner blocks of 4-HST are separated by well, it is like a bear paw, sort of ... so there is a center square, cornerstone type at 2 1/2" ... then the rectangle strips running between the four corners that are sized, 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" ... not a quarter square triangle in sight! But, I love those tests, and I had a good time taking it <wave> |

that was a toughie. a lot of people got that wrong.
Made 14, will start studying names/shapes/etc more. Thanks Butterfly for challenging us. I smile every time I see your posts. You put a lot of thought into different venues & you stretch our imaginations.
thank you.
Forgot to tell you they're fun - and the 2nd one I clicked on started out with blocks I didn't know, so I quit! I'll try tomorrow when I'm fresh!
Well, I did the quilt pattern quiz and got 19 out of 20. That was fun. The block quiz was harder for me. I got 24 out of 30, and was surprised to get that many, as I was guessing on a lot of them.
I got all 20 correct-there were several I hesitated on, but I guessed right.
I got 19 out of 20. It was fun. Thanks for sharing!

I got 19 out of 20. I guessed wrong on the Improved Nine Patch.
I got 23 out of 30 on the block quiz. I had to guess on some of them. It said I need to brush up a little.
I got 19 out of 20 too.
24/30 blocks - but many were wild a-- guesses LOL
That was fun! I got all 20 right. But, I will admit, the one log cabin was a guess!
