Name of Bonnie Hunter Quilt

Does any know the name of the quilt Bonnie Hunter has at the top of her websites and facebook page? I looked but couldn't find the name of the pattern. I do get a "bit" impatient looking for info sometimes. I just love it. Thanks,

There's a link on her home page, about half way down so you can email her. Might be the easiest way.

It is Split Nine Patch. Here is a blog entry about it.

Too many tiny squares for me. I have been looking at the same name on Fat Quarter Shop free patterns.

I love this pattern too. If I made one this is the setting I would choose. Love this one!

I have to use leaders for a lot of my sewing. I think it's about time I started this Bonnie Hunter project. Now, to decide what is really scraps and what is good yardage. I have some older fabrics that I don't really like any more. I bet that would be a good place to start with my cutting.

Barb, that is what I do especially with fabric that might be considered ugly. It is really surprising how well 'ugly' fabric works in scrappy quilts. Usually if it is cut small enough it isn't ugly anymore. I also have a lot of remnants that I don't want to get rid of to get rid of but not large enough for a regular quilt, these pieces make good scraps too.

Oh, thanks so much for sharing this link. I LOVE the illustration of various layouts for the blocks! Lots of ideas there to play with, and makes me want to try to get set up for using Leaders and Enders!

As Bonnie says, "if it's still ugly, you haven't cut the fabric in small enough pieces!" I love that theory. My friend came over in the summer for me to help her assemble and cut 2.5" strips for a Willow Bed Runner (Judy Niemeyer design). She had some extremely ugly jelly roll strips. I thought to myself, ugh, that will be so ugly in a quilt. Well, by the time she sewed the strips onto the paper pieced pattern, the pieces were not very wide and came to a point. The bed runner turned out magnificently beautiful! I could not tell where that ugly fabric was in it. Point being, if you cut it small enough, you can't tell that it was once ugly!

Is there a pattern available for this layout? Carolyn

She is also putting out a mystery quilt by the name of Grand Illusion now. Just learned of that one this week. Based on the colors of the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island MI.
