Sorry, the link doesn't work.

The link doesn't work, but it looks like you were trying to point to a photo on this board. If so, I would send a private message to the original poster and ask them.

Sorry it works for me, found it on google but no address or info with it just picture, thanks anyway.

The post was probably very old and Google is showing a cache page. Right click on the image and then click copy in a reply window. That should post the picture here.

BellaBoo 11-17-2013 06:43 PM

If the link does not work for you now, the original has been deleted. Odd for it to be deleted after all this time.

It wouldn't work for me either, simply says deleted image. I notice that QuiltnNan has also edited your original post, and you say you found the image on google, so I suspect you copied the photo from google, pasted it here somewhere on the board, and QuiltnNan deleted the photo because it violated the copyright rules of the board.

I suggest you try this: Find the photo again, click on it and get to the website that originally showed the photo, then post again with a LINK to that website. That way we will all be able to see it and possibly help you.

Milli 11-17-2013 07:10 PM

Ok, will try that, searching for the photo.
i thought that if it was on google it was a free for all, sorry if I step outta bounds my bad:(

It is free to repost. Every image on Google is for public use. The ones that are copyrighted can't be copied by a search engine or any one else without special software. It is the image owner's responsibility to use the right copyright software when posting an image online. The board's rules are a little outdated for posting pictures.

Gotya!

Not to worry, the Quilt Police will NOT knock on your door.

Every image on Google is not free to repost. Search engines pick up copyrighted images all the time. Just because a search image picks up an image, the original copyright holder does not give up their copyright. There are software scripts and digital watermarks to protect images, but they are very easily circumvented. Again, any image on the web can be copied, but it doesn't invalidate its copyright protection.

I don't think the board's rules are outdated; they protect the owners of the board from getting sued for copyright infringement because a user posted a copyrighted image.
