Does anyone know the name of this pattern?

Don't know the name of the pattern but here's some info. Hope this helps.

Each block is divided into 3 sections. One section is 3 squares of different colours. Second section 3 squares of different colours. Third section is a stripe of cream full length.
the blocks are then placed vertical and next horizontal to make pattern.

This is the pattern from Merry Mayhem's New Years Day Mystery 2012. She called it Chips and Strips.
It makes up quickly.

After her mysteries have been free for a short time, they then become patterns you pay for. This one was #134.
and when I check it out, you don't see the finished quilt, just a short description. Maybe I am missing something.
but basically, this is a rail fence pattern, with variations.

So how can one person "sell" a pattern, while someone else gives free instructions on another site...of a variation of a traditional pattern.
Just wondering. This has been the answer for me...have two shoeboxes filled with 2 1/2" squares.....

Variation of Fence Rail, 2 of the rails are scrappy.

I made this before. I used four patches, one set all scrappy one set with solid squares on one side. Sewing the solid squares was much easier then sewing a strip of solid to the two squares. It's not a copyright violation to show how to make a quilt pattern, just can't show or copy any of the original written instructions.
