I don't know the name, I know I have seen it before. It sure is pretty. Someone will know the name.
|
No name but the curved units may be a variation of the 5 minute block technique where you lay the folded fabric on top and roll the bias edge back to form the curve.
|
i have no idea what the pattern is, but that quilt is beautiful.

Beautiful quilt indeed. Would you believe I had the special ruler it takes to make this and thought I'd never use it so ended up selling it?? Sometimes my judgement should be questioned!!

I see why this one caught your eye, Watson and Grey Lady and Barb and Linda.

Beautiful Quilt, thanks for posting. I may have to add this one on the to do list.
|
Ha. i have that ruler. beautiful quilt, thanks for finding it's name.
|
Gosh I have that ruler and had no idea how it was used. I got the ruler from a gift to our guild after one of our members passed away. Her husband gave all her things to the guild. Now I can put it to good use in her memory.

Yay! I have the ruler and never used it. It was on clearance at the fabric shop some time ago and I never pass up a good buy on a ruler. I found a video tutorial for the block. Rather fiddley but doable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuMAwTGq90s

You lucky ones with the specialty rulers! I admit I have any number of them that I pick up here and there.
There is the traditional block Cleopatra's Fan, maybe you could use it for that too? Here's a modern version: https://www.robertkaufman.com/quilti...leopatras_fan/ |
While looking for a Canadian store that stocked the quick curve ruler, I also found a tutorial for the pattern. Scroll down a bit. https://www.stitchintheditch.com/product-p/skw100.htm

Thanks for posting the tutorial. I think I can do this one.
