I like the first one best and I would name it "Kaleidescope".

Kassaundra 04-08-2017 04:38 AM

Reminds me of a compass so True north, or Compass points

luvstoquilt 04-08-2017 05:16 AM

Reminds me of a kaleidoscope and how the image revolves. Love those and can imagine they would work together to make a really pretty quilt.

soccertxi 04-08-2017 05:56 AM

I like the 2nd one better. First thing I thought of was Prisms.

QuiltE 04-08-2017 09:51 AM

Kaleidoscope Star
or
Prismatic Beauty

Quilter 65 04-08-2017 04:43 PM

First one, no name ideas, but beautiful block.

pojo 04-08-2017 05:48 PM

1 st block

MFord 04-08-2017 08:58 PM

I would call number 1 "Pencils" and number 2 "Pencils Squared." I prefer #2!

patinpoconos 04-09-2017 03:22 AM

I prefer number one

renda 04-09-2017 03:54 AM

My vote goes to this name.
Prismatic Beauty

My vote goes to Prismatic Beauty and I like both of them

1screech 04-09-2017 03:58 AM

My first thought was kaleidoscope too. It is a beautiful block.

fairydawn 04-09-2017 04:37 AM

I like #2. Compass Star?

EmiliasNana 04-09-2017 04:50 AM

Cathedral court

JanBech 04-09-2017 04:54 AM

Really, I love both the blocks. When I look from Block 1 to Block 2, I think about having turned a kaleidoscope a one click turn to the left.....I would use them both, and call the quilt "Kaleidoscope."

Wonnie 04-09-2017 04:56 AM

Definitely like the name "Kaleidoscope" and number 2 fits the name best for me.

fivepaws 04-09-2017 05:07 AM

I like number one the best but do not have a name for it. I really like it though and will watch for the tutorial.

Bug Lady 04-09-2017 06:09 AM

I like the 2nd one though both are great--you are so talented. I don't have a name for it though. Thanks for sharing.
Karen

Hard time deciding but I think the second one is my favorite. Love both of them. I'll be watching for the tutorial. Thank you!

Boston1954 04-09-2017 09:42 AM

It makes me think of a ring as seen from the top. How about "Gemstone"?

JanieH 04-09-2017 12:02 PM

I prefer the first one and it also reminded me of a compass.

You do beautiful work!

quilting cat 04-09-2017 01:22 PM

I like the first one better. It reminds me of quartz crystals, paired at each side. "Crystalized"?

I agree..Gemstone would be perfect..I like both..so no help from me..

1000scraps 04-09-2017 02:08 PM

To me it looks like a "Baroque Garden"!

wildyard 04-09-2017 04:24 PM

I love them both but like the 2nd a little better. My first thought was also compass points, then the way crystals form.
For a name I like Crystalline.

I do like 1000scraps idea of Baroque Garden, also.

Innov8R 04-09-2017 06:00 PM

I like number one. It reminds me of a well planned garden with walkways all around. I would call it garden plaza.

bbeyes 04-09-2017 06:03 PM

I like the first one too

I like the 1st one, doesn't look as busy and the pattern more defined. I like the name Hidden Pathway, reason being, the outside points look as if they can be folded towards the center of the block hiding the center path. Just my opinion. Regardless, they are both beautiful.

northerncreations 04-10-2017 04:40 AM

I like the 2nd block best.

Texas_Sue 04-10-2017 04:41 AM

Love the first one best - not a clue as to a name.

Debd 04-10-2017 08:47 AM

I like the second one, and it does remind me of a compass and fish, so "Fish Finder"!

Rosemary Attaway 04-10-2017 08:56 AM

I like #2.

Rose Bagwell 04-11-2017 05:33 PM

I like #1 and I would name it All Points North

Rhonda 04-12-2017 11:03 AM

Okay I went with the first one. I named it CARDINAL ROSE. I looked up compass and on the compass they call the directions Cardinal points. and the picture of the compass with all the points is called a Compass Rose.
I don't particular like the sound of the word Compass. not as interesting as Cardinal
so I put the two together for " Cardinal Rose "

Thanks for all of the suggestions and your help was much appreciated. It gives me a place to bounce off of in my thinking.

A friend of mine does the cutting directions and yardage for me so when she has gotten that completed I will be able to post this tutorial. At the latest will be May 8th. If it is done sooner I will post it and let you know here on this thread.

I toyed with different names. Four Corners /Gemstone /Compass Cross / Compass Path /North Star all good names but I think Cardinal Rose fits it better.

Littledreamdevil 04-25-2017 07:19 PM

I don't know the name . but I like number 1
