A couple of years ago our LQS was having a class on making a quilt that was pieced, then CUT in an X, turned and resewn.
The shop has gone out of business and I have never been able to find any type of pattern. Wish I could have done the class. |
The entire quilt was pieced and then cut or each block?
|
The whole top was cut from corner to corner in an X, the turned and the X area was resewn.

I'm interested in that too, sounds like something a woman with over active and over imaginative kids would have done to one of hers. Don't ask me how that came to mind..my kids grew up to be nice people. I let them live to grow up---to be nice people.

Sounds fascinating. I did some searching on google but no luck so far.

It might be a pattern from 'quiltwoman.com' --Straight to the Point (tm) series

Oh that is awesome. I love quilts with blocks set on point but it sounds like too much work doing the triangles on the sides. This is much better. thanks OP and thanks nativetexan!

I just checked the site ewecansew posted.
I do believe it was called the Contra Dance. http://quiltwoman.com/contra-dance-quilt-pattern.aspx Nativetexan, that is it. |
Here is another demo page using a different pattern.
