Please... Can you tell me what the beads are that when they are soaked in water they enlarge and soften and help you to stay cool. I want to put these into a quilted strip. They were sold a few years back in just a long strip to put around your neck. They didn't last long, so I want to put them in a quilted strip. My house is soooo hot and I am miserable. I think this project would help me, but I can't remember the name of the little beads or pellets. Thanks!

are those the gel ones you add to soil to keep it moist, maybe gaden center

Soil Moist Granules. Blue and white package with yellow roses and pink tulips on the front. On the back is a tomato, some brocolli and carrots. They're put out by JRM Chemical, Inc., Cleveland, Ohio.
I got mine in the garden center at Walmart a few years ago. I just ran across a bag of them and made a couple of neck coolers for my stepson. He building out buildings in Texas until he's called back to the oil rigs and he's burning up. I just mailed them to him this morning. I'm going to look tomorrow to see if our Walmart still carries them.

I've bought them on ebay. Much cheaper than I could find anywhere locally.
