National Quilt Day!

Saturday, March 15th is National Quilt Day. What are you doing to celebrate?

Mousie 03-11-2014 03:39 PM

not buying any more fabric, that's for sure! ;)
Maybe I'll have things organized enough to make myself something small.
It's about time Quilting got a day, as much money as it puts into the economy, right?

I took a nap under 2 quilts. Does that count for anything? I also worked on a paper pieced project. but it is not ready to share.

that sounds like a great day to stay home and quilt! Something I seldom get to do it seems.

I think quilting would be the best way... or buying fabric! I like both ideas!

Quilting here I come. Hopefully will finish at least two projects and make some headway on a third.

A quilt shop is having a 25% off sale on Saturday. It's about 45 minutes away, not sure if I'm going.. I don't need fabric, but maybe would find some nice Springy floral.

I'm going to quilt a customer's quilt and then one of my own!

I'm organizing a day for 75 quilters. We are playing games, getting dinner catered in, and there are prizes for those that are there. its a lot of work but we do it every year with our Quilt guild.

I'm going to work on the 4 t-shirts quilts I'm making. I have all the squares cut out and two full quilt tops done. So I'll try to border and sash another one this weekend.

I will tell the guests at my daughter's Bridal Shower about National Quilt Day. My homemade Shower gifts include a darling quilted apron and a sewing kit -in a jar. After the weekend, I will be going like gangbusters to complete my special wallhanging for her wedding.

My quilting group is sponsoring its annual quilt show Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the community Business Expo. They are within walking distance. I am helping with both events. A busy and exciting weekend.
