National Quilters Circle

I receive many offers from this organization. Today's offer is the least expensive I have seen ($7.04) for one year of tutorials. I am tempted to subscribe but I want to ask my fellow quilters if you know anything about this service and would you suggest I subscribe. Thanks to you in advance for your experience and/or opinion on this. I am a new quilter and I realize I can probably already find almost any tutorial on line.

I don't subscribe to ANYTHING because everything I need to watch is for FREE!!! :)

Same here, more free than I'll ever even get to try!

For less then $8 I doubt you will be disappointed. I would listen to the reviews of those that are members.

You may be more likely to make the projects if you have paid for the service. Like paying for a gym membership. For $8 I wouldn't worry over it one way or the other.

If there are tutorials that really interest you I would go for it at that price- yes there are many things on You Tube, a decent amount by professionals, but certainly many are not and these are all over the map in quality of instruction and information (as well as filming quality). Especially if getting to face to face classes aren't easy for you.

It's a marketing gimmick. They do sneaky, back-handed tricks like sending you a DVD you never ordered, and then they bill you for it.

Here's another perspective on the company: http://thebitchystitcher.blogspot.co...-for-this.html

I'm with the others - there is so much free content out there, ripe for the picking. Don't buy something just because it's cheap. Most reputable outfits will let you try once for free, so you can judge the content for yourself and see if it's something you're interested in.

I have been a member for two years and have enjoyed their videos. They've never done anything sneaky to me. Try it for a year and if you don't like it then don't resubscribe.

I understand you get that price for one year, then it automatically goes to full price after that year is up. I do like what I seen of it and have been tempted to subscribe but I can hardly get done the free things I want to do.

Dolphyngyrl 07-03-2015 09:52 PM

Yeah they did that to me and I never even tried them. Probably threw away the DVD as junk mail, they were nuts thinking I was going to pay for it
