Necchi Lydia3
I recently received a Necchi Lydia3 sewing machine from my daughter-in-law. I was wondering if anyone has info about this machine they would like to share. Other than the bobbin in the machine and the one sewing foot already on it there were no attachments. Any feedback?

you should be able to find a manual online. that should help.

If this is a vintage Necchi, it might be a great machine. I believe with most of the vintage Necchi's, the hand wheel goes the opposite direction of most machines. I haven't watched them, but found these Youtube videos:

You might want to join them for more info, tips, etc. Here's a link to a review done by one of the Youtube people: http://www.quiltingroomwithmel.com/2...necchi_13.html |
No, the hand wheel on a Necchi moves toward you like most machines. The thing that this machine is (in)famous for is cracked cam gears. You'll have to remove the end panel under the hand wheel to check the cams.
