While your border fabric is beautiful, it does not compliment your gorgeous star done in rainbow colors that "read" solid. I agree with scissor queen and doodledo. Leave the star as is with no border.

I've never liked Jenny Beyer's flowered border fabrics, so I wouldn't use it. If anything, I would probably use a bright color for the border, or stripes with all the bright colors in the quilt.

I love the star. My eye draws to the border when I look at the picture. If it was mine, I would want the eye to be drawn to the star. I wouldn't put a border. But that's just me. It is very nice!

I would leave the border fabric off. The star is the focus point. Beautiful work!

That star is spectacular! Love the crispness and brightness against the black.
Unless you really want it larger I would not add borders. If you do, I would go with a spiky rainbow effect using the fabrics from your star. I also like the suggestion of using that lovely border fabric you pictured on a quilt for the room you hang the star in. |
I love the star but I find that the star and the border have two different feels to them. I think the star is more vibrant and modern...

I think your border is gorgeous and goes very well with the gorgeous star. I'm probably different from the others but, my honest opinion.
|
I'd leave the border off. It, in my opinion, doesn't go. It's too fancy and detracts from the star.

Love the center. I am with the NO border contingent - the floral fabric is of a totally different style and doesn't really complement the center at all.
