I like the Simple Solstice Simple Solstice that is on the Jordan Fabric site. Donna has a video of it: Simple Solstice Video I'd make it with a cream background or white background perhaps. In the video, she put it on a black background.

I bought a fat quarter bundle of this fabric and regret that I used it for the Quiltmaker magazine's mystery quilt. The pieces are too small to highlight how pretty each fabric is. But with my fat quarter bundle, there was a blue on cream pin dotted fabric that went with everything. I also used a nice brown and some pink fabrics that went nicely. I think something more simple like the Chandelier pattern would very nicely highlight these lovely fabrics.

Those are beautiful! Unless you are wanting to feature the large prints, I like them as they are displayed. Could work up as a Dresden Plate or Grandmother's Fan perhaps.

Here are some ideas from a search on Pinterest. If you scroll through, you'll see Jenny Doan has a video on a disappearing 9-patch variation using this fabric. https://www.pinterest.com/search/pin...quilt&rs=typed

Here is the direct link, I think, to the video peaceandjoy was referring to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPwt3YnM8WI It looks like there needs to be a quite a bit added to make a rather large quilt.
Karen have you done an image search using layer cake quilt pattern as your search terms? Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. Not affiliated with off-site link(s) |
