I have Terrie Sandelin's "Miniatures in Minutes" book and am anxious to try the technique. And then I saw Anita Grossman's info here...

We're taking a trip and I'm planning to study the book on the plane, but watching Anita's demonstration on the quilting show was a tremendous help for me to begin to understand her technique. She has a book "Make it Simpler", and I wish I had it now.

Have any of you tried this technique? How hard is it to learn? Any tips for me? I'll be away from my sewing machine for a few weeks... but will have time to study it thoroughly.

It is foundation paper-piecing. Simple elegance for exquisite points. Once you understand the concept you will be hooked.

Hi TonnieLoree... I have been paper piecing for a while, and love it! But this doing all your sewing on one paper foundation seems a tad harder to do? I haven't read the books yet, but have watched the Simply Quilting tv show with Anita demonstrating...

There is a tutorial here on this site for paper piecing. It might help you.

I usually advise to start out with your paper foundation and scraps you don't mind using up to practice with.
Once you catch on to the process, you will be hooked :D:D:D

Since I prefer making minis I have TONS of scraps to use!
