I know this question was asked before, but I was wondering what you thought of the Bella Solids by Moda. They have white and black (and other colors also) on sale at Missouri Star Quilt Co.
I noticed they differentiate between regular solid black and soft finish black. Has anyone purchased both types and noticed a difference?

I usually buy what Keepsake calls an Amish black. It is very black, doesn't fade and used to be a great fabric. Don't know if they still carry it but you can check their web site. It's more expensive, but really holds it's color.

Keepsake Quilting still has the Amish Black and I've used it also. I am contemplating Michael Miller's Jet Black as I've seen rave reviews on it. HOP has it at a reasonable price. Haven't tried the Moda Bella Black but plan on trying that too...so I can see which of these top three I prefer. You will find many people that love any one of these true blacks and I imagine it is just a personal preference as to which one each individual finds works best for them.
