Need advice
Okay I'm making this quilt using used blue jean material and brand new fleece backing along with thinsulate batting my question is do I need to wash the fleece to pre shank it. Being I'm using used blue jean material.???

Fleece is polyester and doesn't shrink. I think you'll be fine.

Fleece doesn't shrink, so it's not necessary to wash it to keep it from shrinking. However I would wash it anyway, because I like to pre-wash everything before handling it.

I just finished a blue jean quilt. After breaking 3 needles, I bought heavy duty ones made for denim. hope that helps someone.

Ok, Thank you very much for the advice , prewash and use a heaver needle . Im also using cotton quilting machine thread I baught at Walmart. I just hope it is strong enough to last many years🙂

Yes, I do highly recommend a denim or heavy duty needle for your machine. I am making a rag quilt with 2 layers of flannel and 1 layer of denim and a heavy duty needle helps a lot. I don't know anything about fleece as I have never used it but it looks like you are getting great advice.
