Need a brain boost.

I bought the assorted fabrics to make a certain pattern and have set it aside waiting to purchase the white background fabric at a later date when I get a little extra money, now I can't remember where I put the pattern or even which pattern it is. It might be that I have a cold and my brain is fuzzy but I hate when that happens:mad:.

Relax and feel better. We all have been there. I had the same problem last night. Still looking for my fabric bundle.lol

Been there, done that...and that's why I put projects in their own ziploc bag.

Relax, you'll remember exactly what you bought it for and where the pattern is immediately after using it for something else.

I found the fabric for a quilt I bought about 15 years ago when I first starting quilting. The fabric is all neatly together in a shoebox. The first pieces are cut and labeled nicely in zip bags. If only the pattern was around.

I keep an idea file of patterns for that reason and it helps. If I could only get a brain upgrade like my computer, I would be all set. I was reorganizing my stash a while back and found a couple of bundles with a magazine. Hmmmmmm, I wonder what page the quilt was on that I bought the bundle for?

i have a similar problem, in the opposite direction. i package up my project fabric along with the pattern. when i go looking for the pattern i can't remember where it is. especially frustrating when it is a book. right now i am looking for a book i purchased for a log cabin tree skirt.
like someone else said it will come to you after you have made alternate plans. it just means that the new project was more important than the old. right? that's my story and i am sticking to it.

Good luck with finding it. We've all done it.

Haven't we all been there? Having more and more of those brain fuzzies lately. When I have something in mind to make, I bundle the fabrics with ribbon, along with the pattern. If the pattern is in a book, I use a note card and write the name of the book, or even a website for reference. I know at one time I had plans for the fabric, so I want to make sure I do make the pattern, or can at least look at it again to remember why I wanted to make it in the first place.
It's tax time. Hope not to have any of those brain fuzzies creeping up any time soon.

Good luck finding your pattern. While you're at it, let me know if you find the Christmas gift from last year that I hid in a "safe" place. Haven't found it yet lol.

If I come across it I'll let you know. Maybe your gift is in the same place as my pattern and my lable maker that disapeared a few months ago. I think the pattern was called take 5 now if I can find it.
