Need a cute way to fold fabric

Hi, I am putting together a little quilt kit to give to my sister for her birthday. Does any one have any ideas on how to fold a yard of fabric in a cute, decorative way. Thanks!

On Youtube there are quite a few demo's of how to fold a towel into different origami shapes -- a swan, flower, butterfly, elephant, etc. These might work in the same way for a yard of fabric. Just go to Youtube and search on hotel towel origami.

Also, Google "origami made with fabric" and click on "images" to find a photo of something you might want to make. Here is a link to one tutorial, although a yard of fabric would make a much larger flower:

Fat quarters folded into triangles look cute stacked up and tied with ribbons. It depends on how much fabric you are giving her. I got a gift pack of rolled ice cream coloured fabric in a plastic ice cream cup.

Or, maybe roll the fabric to look like a "jelly roll" / cake. Decorate with flowers.

Thank you Prism99...I wouldn't have thought to search for origami towel folding but I saw a video for how to fold a flower that might work. I'll give it a try tonight.

Also look at napkin folding videos, there are a lot of them that might work for you.
