I have used a potholder with a hanging tab and added button
to close it. Works great just sew dishtowel to center of potholder.!! |

Look on here for a thread titled, "Isn't this cute" - one of the members here posted a little dress made from kitchen towels and matching fabric. They hang on your oven or dishwasher handle.
Here's a link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-80619-1.htm I made this sketch for another board a few years ago - it shows one way to make a potholder and matching towel into a hang-towel. I like this one for the vertical door handle on the fridge. Towel topper sketch |
Thank you for the diagram :D:D:D

I know what you mean, I would like a simple pattern. I used to crochet, but I can't do that anymore. The dresses are beautiful, but I don't know that I want to make them for people I know who would be afraid to get them dirty.

I make mine like this too, only I turn mine on the diagonal which makes the top piece a triangle. Either way they are fun and easy to make.
