Need A Free Programme...
Where I can draw a quilt top and add blocks and colours. Nothing too fancy, just HST's for the most part.
Do any of these exist? Apparently, I left my EQ8 when I separated. Watson |
Have you called EQ to explain the situation and maybe get permission to download it again? I rely on my EQ8 so much, for every quilt I make. I would be lost without it and Excel.

Dunster, I'll do that. It's worth a try!

Watson Dunster mentioned Excel ... I know a few people who design quilts via Excel. I haven't had any luck. Must be something I am missing out on, in understanding the how to! I've done some basic quilt design using Word and the Snipping tool. If there's a lot of repetition, I then cut and paste the units, rotating as/if needed. Not the best, but gives me enough of an idea, as to whether something is doable or not. Good Luck with the EQ8 people! |
I found a free copy of Quilt -pro and downloaded that. I am not sure if it is still available but it does what you say you want. I scanned in the fabric I wanted to use and I could place it in the quilt I was designing.

Watson ... That'd be great if they understood your situation and came through!

I had to request a link when a computer crashed and EQ was great at helping me recover my license. |

I don't design quilts with Excel, but I use it to figure yardage. EQ doesn't always do the best job with that. I'm usually making a quilt using stash fabrics, and I'm always either working without a published pattern or modifying one.

Dunster! They did it!
Thanks so much. Watson |
