Need girly pattern

My husbands granddaughter, they are out of state and we have see the child twice in her lifetime, even though we know they do visit our state, is 8 years old and a very girly girl. (Exactly what that means I'm not too sure.) I am in need of a girly girl quilt pattern. It has to be reasonably simple to put together and I have til Christmas and lots of time. Her sister's quilt was easy to envision as she plays many instruments and I was able to find a panel that was perfect. What do little 8 year old girly girls like? I'm embarrassed to mention my dilemma to my husband because I get really angry with how his children treat him. It isn't the child's fault her parents are idiots!! Help

How about some pinwheels in the 3o's fabrics or DP9 patch in dots and flowers. Pink or purple with lime green are my grand daughters favourite colors

The daisies are perfect! I was thinking pinks and purples and frills BUT the daisies are much better. It is timeless and she will not be "outgrowing it". I love the colours in this because you don't need to know their favourite colours. I am saving this one because I want to make one too!

I vote for the daisy quilt also! That's on my to do list. I have some leftover gold minkee that would be great for the center of the flowers. Give it a bit of 3D affect.

My 9.5 yo DGD loves pink and purple, hearts, butterflies, and baby animals. She likes flowers but when picking out fabric, she zeroed in on the hearts and butterflies . . . and monkeys. LOL

Dear dolly dress up is a perfect panel for your GD.

Girly girls like pretty, fancy, flowers, butterflies, pink, purple on and on, dresses and don't like to get dirty usually nothing boyish.
Oldest Granddaughter was like that, at 25 she likes anything stylish and still loves to dress to the nines when A special event arises.

For color choice you probably couldn't go wrong with purples, as most little girls just love it. (And many of us seem to never get over that love!)

I think a Twister done in girl (pinks, purple, sparkly) fabrics would be quick and pretty. There are other great patterns but I wouldn't want to spend tons of time on an 8 year olds quilt. You want it to be well used and loved not put away. Besides, Twisters are FUN to do! Other fun children's patterns are I spy and Candy jar for girls.

Joannes has a great fabric I used for my grandaughters quilt..It has multi colored butterflies on a soft lavender background and the fabric sparkles!! They also had coordinating sparkled solids to go with it..She LOVED her quilt..I kept it simple with a 9 patch of sparkled pink and purple(9 1/2" total done) ternated with 9 1/2 squares of the butterfly fabric. I wish the picture I took was better, but this is all I have of the pieced top before quilting

Sounds like she's a princess...flowers and a princess crown. That type of fab is available everywhere.

I like the daisy pattern, what a great idea! It's not childish, remember many 9 yr olds are very grown up-or at least they think they are! I would stay away from anything to little girl.
