Need help with binding a hexagon

How do I miter the corners of a hexagon when attaching binding? I know I could birth this hexagon, but I wanted to bind it. I will try to attach a photo of my attempt to bind a hexagon.

One of my favourite binding site is http://ankastreasures.wordpress.com

I think you're already doing it right.

It looks OK to me. Just keep it straight when sewing like normal binding. When hand sewing it to the back, make sure the folds are in the opposite direction as when you stitched it. Smooths out the extra bulk from the fold.

This is exactly what I needed. Thanks!

I found that the corners lay nicer if I use a bias cut binding. The only time I'll willing use anything cut on the bias but it made a world of different in how each of the points lay.

just try to make your miters match the hexie.. they aren't 45*

I prefer facing this type of quilt. You get a knife edge that lays truly flat, and it's a lot easier.
