If you really, really love the fabric -- I use a product that I found online for all my reds, oranges, all vibrant colors -- Of course, I test it first -- then I use Ritz Laundry Treatment -- it is a dye fixative. A few years ago I made a white whole-cloth (embroidered) quilt, with a red border -- I checked out the red -- it bled "like a stuck hog" as we used to say on the farm! That's when I found the Ritz product. It's worked for me, and it's not that expensive -- I have no financial interest in the product, nor any affiliation with the product -- I always test any vibrant/bright colors -- if they bleed, they get treated. If it's a FQ, that's not a major loss, but if you buy several yards of fabric @ $8-10 a yard, that's a big loss (not, however, as much as a completed quilt ruined by bleeding fabric). Just search online and you'll find the product!
