Need help with border ideas

1 Attachment(s)
I am in the process of making a quilt for someone who wants the quilt to be queen size. I have included everything she wants for the middle of the quilt, but it's no where near queen size! I have added two borders so far but it will be really boring if I continue that way! Anyone have any ideas that would help make it bigger without being boring? This quilt has a baby blanket that she wanted incorporated into the quilt along with all the bibs. I have since added two borders that are each 3" wide.
Thanks in advance for any help!

How about a piano key or zipper border in the colors of the bibs, with a binding of the darker blue thin border?

What is a zipper border?

In order to increase the size a lot, I think a row of 12 inch blocks all around the perimeter might be needed. I would pick a block you like doing that goes with the sports or children's theme. You might find something looking through quilterscache blocks?

I agree with Tartan, surround the center with blocks, then another framing border. You could either make more of the sport theme blocks or something different, pinwheels or tumbling blocks would be fun
