I want to add borders to my Granddaughter Cailtan's Christmas Quilt. I am thinking.. First yellow then a section of More Candy and then a wider band of Black with iridescent dots.

What is your opinion?

I like the last one, just black dots and candy!

first is my first choice. second is my second choice. not a fan of the third. Really cool fabric you found.

I like the yellow/candy/dots.

I like yellow with it, maybe the yellow as the first border instead of middle?

Yellow, Candy, then dots.

Jennifer22206 10-30-2011 05:41 PM

I like the yellow/candy/dots.

Yellow / candy/ dots

I think the yellow ends the middle of the quilt so it makes it look more finished- if that makes sense

Nice job!

How about a narrow band of red and a wider band of the black with the little dots.

Tartan 10-30-2011 08:56 PM

Did you try yellow, then candy, then the red?

I would try yellow then dots, and I like the idea of red too

how about yellow, dots then red, or just yellow then dots.

candy just seems too busy for the border
(I took the liberty of editing the pictures to see what it would look like)

I like the narrow yellow then bigger candy--no black dots. Boy, different opinions-- you can pick and choose among us! LOL. Love your fabric and it will be great, whichever you choose.

Your first one is a classy look. I'd go with that.

suzanprincess 10-31-2011 04:31 AM

First one, yellow/candy/black dots.

what she said!

I like the second one here, I agree that the candy print should be left out of the boarder.

I really like the punch of the red in the border! It's a great quilt and they all look good so go with what you like best.

kiffie2413 10-31-2011 08:29 PM

I like the yellow and the red...just gives it a little "oomph" or something...lol...maybe which ever one of your choices you leave out you can make the binding with it?... Anyways, cute quilt...please post pics when you are done!!

MacThayer 10-31-2011 08:46 PM

I really like the yellow, candy and black dots. Makes it look very professional. The yellow really makes the yellow in the squares and the yellow in the candy just "pop"! If I were to change anything, I'd bind it in the black dots fabric instead of introducing another color into the border. Just my opinion.

So....what did you choose? Would love to see how you finish up:)
