I like two

sherriequilts 04-17-2011 05:08 PM

one or two suit me just fine. Really nice quilt too!

earthwalker 04-17-2011 05:08 PM

I like three and would bind in brown. Beautiful top by the way!

mimom 04-17-2011 05:09 PM

what about a strip of black or cream to seperate the quilt from the border, it will really make the quilt pop

Yep!

Either the first or the second, depending on which you prefer.

The dark belongs on the outside to frame the whole quilt.
Against the main quilt, it looks like the coloured borders are after thoughts! Of course, JIMHO!!

What a pretty quilt! I like the brown as the outer border...can't decide which I like best of the other two. Both look good.

I like #3. All are nice though. Good work.

From a design point of view, the 3 variations work equally well on this beautiful quilt. No matter what you choose, the quilt will be stunning. So which color do you like best? And which do you think is the most prominent place for it?

Very pretty quilt. I don't see how you could go wrong with either border selection.

I agree with this suggestion. To use a narrow strip of cream to separate the colors, then the yellow, orange & brown. Lightest to darkest. But whatever you decide, that quilt is breathtaking.

Really beautiful quilt. I vote for one or two with brown binding.

Quilting Angel 04-18-2011 02:15 AM

I like number 2 best

me too

It is lovely!

I agree with the two who said a dif color to "set" the quilt. Since you have all 3 colors on the edge, if you use one of the 3, the quilt bleeds off the edge.

Try laying black in there, and see what you think.

For borders, I like

inner to outer, yellow orange brown, bound in brown.

I'll go with inner to outer yellow, org, brown

AliKat 04-19-2011 09:12 AM

Which colors are you trying to bring out?

Personally, I like the yellow as a resting strip, then the red-orange, and bind with the brown???
