Need help choosing borders
4 Attachment(s)
I am using a Cozy Quilt pattern called "Twirling" with Moda Double Chocolat fabrics. I can't decide on the borders except I have to use the paisley for the outside border because of the amount of fabric required. Should I go with first inside border of beige, then red, then paisley....or brown, red, paisley....or beige, brown, paisley????????? Any other ideas! Thanks for your help!

i like the look of the second picture

Another vote for the second picture.

I like the first picture with the red in there between the brown and paisley.

That is really hard. I would want to "float" the quilt with a small white border, the brown with the triangles looked great and I also like the red. But that may be too much for the quilt. So I like the 2nd picture the best.

I choose 3 or 1.

I like the dark brown as the first inner border to frame the quilt. With the beige, seems like it just blends into the piecework.

I really like the dark brown / pink then paisley. I have some of that paisley - it's gorgeous!
The dark brown with some HST triangles inserted frames the quilt very nicely. |
i like the 2nd one

I prefer the pieced, next to the red, next to the paisley with my double chocolate sundae with cherries please! :)

Thanks everyone for the input. I think I will go with the brown, red, paisley as in the 1st option. (pic #2). This is a UFO nearing its first birthday!

Thank you so much for letting us know which one you selected! I am always curious...and I sure couldn't decide enough to even vote when I looked at this thread yesterday. Knowing what borders quilters select helps me learn about selecting my own. :)

I like the second picture best but I would reduce the size of the red border to match the thin red strips in the blocks. Pretty fabric!

I like the burgundy thrown in there. Looks great.
