What about a red and white stripe on bias?

What about a thin strip of the floral and then red for the binding?

I think I would want to put on a border of the white about 1.5" then the floral about 2.5" and then bind in the red. But I love borders on a quilt.
At first, I thought if only a binding and no borders I'd use the floral, but now I'm thinking the red would be the thing to make the quilt pop. So I say red for the binding. Yep, red it is. |

OK ladies, here it is, hot off the machine! (Give me a few minutes) I hope it looks better after it's washed.....

Everything has been put off in the house until I got this done. Hey, that came out very cute! Thanks for sharing. As far as the corners, it is your quilt and you can make it any way you want! I think it gave it kind of an old-fashioned look.

the bright red in the quilt would be grat....or if you don't want it to stand out try the blue.
