Wow, that was so nice of them to remember her in such a way. Hope my family feels the same way about my quilting. ( but not for a longggg time to come). Thanks for sharing this with us.

How sweet of you! What a beautiful gesture!

Call them, they will need this quilt.

So glad you were able to get it to them in time and that they used it in such a special way. It's sad when a family member passes, but at least they had a memento to remember her by.

Completely agree.

Immediately. It may be something they want displayed at the funeral, or possibly even buried with her. Let that decision be theirs.

my mother in law just passed away, the funeral was thursday. if she had been working on something and someone had it finishing it up, it would have meant the world to us to know about it asap and we would have wanted it at the funeral. So, YES contact them now.

As a former Pastor I can tell you that the advise to give it to them now is the best. It is a part of her and it is tangible... right now they need that little piece of her!

Yes, quickly. They might want to drape the casket with it.

I've been to a funeral where the family draped their mom's casket with the most beautiful quilt that she had made. It was stunning and everyone was really touched.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA
