Need help from EQ users.
 

I am planning a wall hanging using signature squares from my daughters wedding; and making clear vinyl pockets for the pictures. I need help figure what size to cut the background fabric for the vinyl pockets, so they will line up with the size of the siggy blocks. TIA

Can you give us some idea what the pattern will be?? What will be the size of the photos??

I am thinking if I lay it out in vertical columns, the siggy squares are 5" square unfinished. I need to cut the vynal for the pictures 6 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" tall. Because she has 5 x7"s and 4 x6" s. and I don't know where she will put her pictures, so want all the pockets to be the same size to accommodate them. I will be using sashing strips between the siggy blocks to help make up space. But want to make sure I cut the backing of the pockets big enough to maybe equal 2 siggy blocks going each way.

I think vertically would make it easier to fit in different sizes with sashing.

I will be stitching the vinyl centered on top of the square of fabric , if that helps to make sense.

Is there anyone , that can help me with this?
