Need help figuring out corners for border

I thought a border of triangles would work nicely for this. I like it but now I don't know how to connect it at the corners. Any ideas would be appreciated.
This is actually the back of an I-Spy quilt. I could also use ideas on how to make sure this is lined up square in the quilt sandwich.

Pam, what a cute quilt back. If I were doing the borders, I'd square off the last triangles right at the corner and use a square block the size of the border. Maybe make them each a different color or a square-in-a-square block. As to centering the backing, it will take some markings (center top, bottom, sides, very center of the quilt, etc) to use as reference marks to line everything up. Good luck--love that layout you used.

I was thinking a corner stone also.

Ditto for square cornerstones. They will compliment the square blocks in the quilt. Great quilt!

What a great idea for the back! Love it!
I also think cornerstones....

Cornerstones like the only choice for this quilt. Very cute back.

You have to take into consideration the width of you block when piecing a border but I agree, a cornerstone is the only way to go.

How about pinwheels to carry the triangle theme into the corners?

Thanks for the help. I went with the cornerstones. Took me way too long to do this. I still need to add more white to make it larger than the front and then get it sandwiched and quilted. I don't think I will be doing this triangle border again. LOL I like the way it looks but what a pain!
