Need Help Finding This Pattern!

3 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt approximately 20 years ago and now have been asked to make another for someone else. I no longer have the book that the pattern was in, nor do I remember the name of the book. Can someone please help me find either the pattern or the book? Thank you so much. I so appreciate this board and all the help I have received from it.

I have a lot of quilt books, but do not recognize that pattern at all. So sorry.

Don't know but it it very pretty. I will keep watch on this thread to see what pattern is. I am sure someone will know!

I have never seen this pattern before in any quilting books. So sorry. Can you take the measurements off of the quilt ??

some on Ebay that are close. interlocking stars or interlocking squares.

I think it might be in a Kim Brackett's quilt book. On another post I think I saw it referred to as Island Chain and have yet to find the pattern for it. This one just has a star in it.

That's like it, but not with stars. I have made this one, too, in the past. Thanks, Pennyhal.

You have the original, could you draft another pattern from that?

Mdegenhart 04-24-2016 02:25 PM

It is a LeMoyne Star with the diamonds cut from strip sets instead of a single piece of cloth.

railroad 04-24-2016 03:37 PM

I don't have the original anymore, just pictures. I don't think I would be able to draft it from the quilt itself.

I was going to suggest drafting from your photos as well. Measurements may not be the same but spirit certainly would be!

It is beautiful, Hope you find it.

Take a good look at the Labyrinth pattern. Same effect, but done with triangles. I did one, and it's all squares and HSTS. Maybe you could split the difficult parts of the unit into triangles and make piecing easier.

The star is a part of a pattern called Eldon by Laundry Basket Quilts.
