It would be a beautiful background for some applique with vines and leaves and flowers.

I have the same fabric, but in tans and browns. I've seen it in red. I used mine in an oriental fabric quilt.

I had a similar color fabric and I had a challenging time finding a coordinating fabric for a quilt. I found the print to be somewhat more elegant looking than many of the fabrics that i tend to be drawn to. I combined it w/ simple tone on tone fabrics and another was a teeny tiny print. I made a double irish chain throw.

The irish Chain is another nice example of how to use this beautiful fabric.
