Need help finding this tutorial

I'm looking for a tutorial about making a footstool using coffee cans. Does anyone remember this. I bookmarked the page at the time but since the new board happened the bookmark for this has been lost. Posting a picture, I hope it works. Thanks for your help.

I made one many years ago out of 48 oz juice cans.

Here are a couple that might help. The first one has a round top, the second one has more the "scalloped" look. Hope these help.

My MIL made those. She used tall juice cans and heavy upholstery fabric. I think she just used old towels and sheets to pad them. They were the smoother round shape similar to the one on the blossoms and lace blog. She even made some that were kind of oval shaped by using 10 cans. We still have one and use it.

Thanks for the links. This is a big help. I just love this board. You can find almost anything you want.

Has anyone tried this with the plastic coffee cans? WE don't see the large tin cans here anymore unless you get the lunchroom type.

thanks to everyone !!! I have been looking for a footstool to rest my foot on while I hand quilt. This is the perfect height!!! It will take a while to collect the empty cans, but I will wait patiently.
I am already thinking of my fabric. A corduroy paisley I think Mim |
How stinkin' adorable.

I make these all the time for children age 2 years and older. I cover the juice cans with old socks then sew the socks together to make the petal shape. I only use padding on the top. Both top and bottom have the cardboard cut into petal shapes. I wrap the cans (that are sewn in a petal shape) with fabric . All around the outside of the 6 outer cans. Use cord to tie the fabric on. Sew the extra fabric on the top and bottom to the socks and the side seam. Cut top and bottom fabric larger than the petal shape cardboard. Center on cans around cardboard and sew around petal shape top and bottom.

Thank you for asking. The stool is really cute.
