A friend of my son wants a quilt with a house block. His last name is House. He has been a great friend and I know he would treasure a quilt. I have a pattern but I've never seen any made up and am not sure how to lay this one out. Any ideas? If you have one send me a photo. It seem pretty boring to just have a house block so I think it should be set with some other blocks. He'd like a throw. I know there has to be some of you with a really good solution. Thanks

How about doing a row by row quilt with different house blocks and various tree blocks to create a village landscape.

I love house blocks! I made one recently, but I can't find the link. Here are some others:

I did the happy scrappy houses from www.quiltville.com and loved the effect. I interspersed it with tree blocks. Turned out great. Marge

Here's a link to my barn quilt. I know it isn't a house but it might give you an idea.

I love the scrappy house quilt but this guy has a rustic type house with a large stone fireplace and I think the scrappy thing if I did it would need to be in forest type colors and that would take away from the charm of the scrappy house quilt.I saw a cabin pattern I liked but his name is house so he wants a house not a cabin.

I bought this book and it seems like it will be a lot of fun to complete it. |
