Need help with identifying some lace
I apologize if I have put this in the wrong forum, wasn't sure where to put it.
One of ladies in our quilt guild brought these handmade lace pieces that were for a table or runner. She does not know what it is. I suspect it may be Cluny lace but am really not certain. I was found in her grandmothers things partially assembled the fabric appears to be silk. I am enclosing some pictures. Looks like filet lace to me. Check this site: http://lace.lacefairy.com/Lace/ID/laceID.htm

Melinda; I would post these photos on Martha Pullens Forums as her sewing methods are all heirloom techniques. www.marthapullen.com click on message boards and post there. HTH

Yes to filet lace. The filet tools show up, every so often, with collections of small crochet hooks.
