need help longarm rail has a dent

I have a longarm and one of the rails has a dent in it so it does interfere with quilting. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it.

what material is the rail made of? Is it possible to replace it entirely?

What is the brand? You may be able to order a replacement rail.

I am wondering if an auto repair shop would be able to fix the dent.

If your rails are plastic, you'll probably have to order one from the manufacturer. I had a problem with one of the carriage rails before my LA was a year old. Called my dealer, he called the company, they sent me a set of 4 new rails at no charge and I was able to easily swap out the defective one.

they are stainless steel and would be 12' long

If it is a bump, I could see maybe flattening it. I don't know how you could remove a dent sorry.

Some people have replaced theirs with a long metal one from Home Depot. They go along the tops of chain link fencing and and not expensive.

Might not work, but would be a cheap fix. Can you slip a PVC pipe over the dented rail? Don't have a longarm, so unfamiliar.
