Need help with name of pattern.

I know that lots of you can look at a quilt an instantly know what pattern it is.
I have a picture of a quilt which I would like to make and have collected fabric for it but I haven’t a clue what the pattern is.
I posted a picture here but apparently that’s not allowed so it was taken down. I thought I could PM a photo of it to any of you talented people who may be able to help.
Thanks in anticipation.
Stephanie.

It is allowed to post a link to a picture of a quilt. Why don't you try that?

Ukinusa 12-23-2018 06:37 AM

I only have a photo of it on my phone and can’t remember where I found it. I even went through every page on the scrappy quilt show thread here but it wasn’t there :(

You can draw a block of the pattern and take a picture of that and post it.

There is some way you can search with a photo on google. I'm not sure how to do it, but some techie can probably tell you how to do it. You can probably search Google for instructions. Apparently, instead of your search terms, you put in the photo. I'm sure there is more to it than that, but I'm not sure what.

It's unlikely you'll find your answer without a photo or a link.

Another possibility .... do you need "the" pattern?

Or could you look at the photo, and draw it out on graph paper?

You can google "Google Image" and it will take you to a site where you can upload a picture. I have not found it terribly useful because in my experience, it will only find pictures similar in some ways. There might be a way of refining the search, but I haven't found one.

Thank you.
Its called “Colorado Lily Block” by Erin Russek.
It is only a small wall hanging, 16 inches square but you can make more blocks if you want it larger.
I personally don’t like her method, I think needle turn appliqué is much easier than the gluing way she does it.
Its free online but takes some finding, good luck.

Would you care to pm the photo to me as well? - I'd like to help. Thanks
I didn't think one could include pics in a pm - must have changed.

You can PM to me also. Hope we can help you. Merry Christmas to all my fellow boarders.

This is a similar pattern but the name is Carolina Lily. It can be pieced normally. Just a few applique stems.

Trying to help the OP, she doesn't know how to post or PM a picture. :)

Ariannaquilts 12-26-2018 09:13 PM

So happy to see the search get turned away from her avatar (Colorado Lily) to bad she doesn't know how to upload a picture sure would make things easier.
