Coordinating colors and picking patterns is very hard for me, it always has been. That is probably why I like to make scrap quilts so much.

How about the quilt by sewnsewer2, ( I hope I got your name right). I have made that quilt 4 times, it is a large quilt and goes together really fast.
I don't know where to locate it it the posts. |
I vote for billswife99...Happy Block. That would be wonderful. I can picture it in firefighting fabrics...OOOOh awesome!

I vote for Happy Block. I made a similar quilt for my Dad with novelty fabrics that reminded me of him - firefighter, hunter, bowler, etc. Because the novelties were so many different colors, I tied them all together by putting a cream tone on tone in all the blocks. I made my Mom's quilt using a slightly different pattern that also worked well with the novelty fabrics.
Tried to attach the pictures but it didn't work. Will try again |
Beautiful! You've given me some great ideas for using up scraps from other projects!

Judy, try the Turning Twenty Pattern. Just pieced together one & I'm about to start another. It has 1-10 1/2 by 10 1/2 block, one 6 1/2 by 16 1/2 and 1-6 1/2 by 10 1/2 blocks. You move them around to achieve different patterns. It works real well for scraps too. Let me know & I'll tell you more about it.
