Ok heres where I need help..... Here's what the 6 1/2 looks like... Ruler on top... Do I stay with the 6 1/2 or go to 7 maybe 8? AND next to this will be a 4 patch... What size do I make each 4 patch square?
Thanks for your help :P Sorry its blurry. Its raining and ukie out so kinda dark inside

I would stick with the 6 1/2 so that the other skulls around Blue Eyes get lost in the seam. Each block for the 4 path will have to be 3 1/2 square. When you are done making your 4 path it will be 6 1/2, the same size of Blue Eyes.

Where did yo get that fabric I WANT IT!!!

I would stay with 6 1/2 inches, finished.. which means you would cut your piece 7 inches
Then the 4 patches would be cut 3 3/4 to finish 3 1/4 each, giving you a 6 1/2 finished block. or 7 inch unfinshed block, same as your big block.

What ever you do, here is how you figure it.

take the finished size and add 1/2 inch for cutting size of the big block.
take the finished size of the big block and divide by 2 to get finished size of four patch squares. add 1/2 inch to that and you get your cutting size for the 4 patch pieces...
