Need help with on point pattern
I have 36 10" blocks, no sashing, that I want to set on point for a queen size quilt. How many in each row for length and width?

if you use a layout of 6x6 and alternating plain blocks and setting triangles, the body of the quilt will be 85x85. you'd have to add borders beyond that

On point quilts are ( built) diagonally with setting triangles around the edges. Start in upper left corner with one block, on point. Then second row has 3 blocks, 3 rd row 5, etc. QuiltBug.com has a good tutorial, shows the layout & how to cut your setting triangles. Or just Google on point quilt layout for other tutorials. I thought the quilt bug one was pretty simple to understand though

Here is the tutorial I wrote some time ago for setting blocks on point. It's large because it's NOT in Adobe pdf format.
